Our ongoing collaboration with Ecofloat continues with developing iterations and options for individual components of the modular housing prototype. Specifically, this displays the options for a screen to the large front glazed wall. Demonstrating how by largely using Computer Numerical Control (CNC) methods to cut, it is now feasible to offer highly bespoke components.
In response to the current housing shortage, modern methods of construction, be it additive (3D printing) or subtractive (CNC), allows for the creating of rapid housing solutions, offering a highly efficient and precise assembly with greatly reduced waste; continuing to maintain the Ecofloat view of creating a well built, sociably sustainable and scaleable community, founded on the principles of affordability, craftsmanship and permanence.
