Carl Trenfield Architects’ recent work to Barons Court Road has been profiled by the RIBA Journal in their Craft Issue. The piece, written by Flo Armitage-Hookes, is arguably more relevant to ways of doing than the project itself, shining a light on a process that often seeks friction to better find meaning.
Flo Armitage-Hookes writes:
‘The architect says his practice seeks to retain traces of the time taken, of the many collaborating hands and different iterations. This ‘friction’ between an idea and the built reality seems endlessly valuable, he says, creating narrative for users and demonstrating the role of the architect.’
