Carl Trenfield has been invited to talk as key speaker as part of the Canterbury School of Architecture’s annual symposium on Retrofit.
The day conveniently spans the spectrum of working with the existing; from the most historic and perhaps prescriptive, Canterbury Cathedral, through to the strategic upgrades of the Future Systems’ Media Centre at Lords, and finishing with our talk penned ‘Retrofit and the Romantic’ — in short, how we try to be dextrous with architectural language in pursuit of a conversation, or put simply, to tell stories between a host and that which we offer to it.
